Sensory Play

Sensory play lets kids learn by squishing, pouring, scooping and splashing, and it can keep little hands busy longer than almost anything else. This category covers sensory bin ideas with rice, oats, pasta and water, homemade playdough and cloud dough, sensory bottles, and messy play you can take outside or into the bath. We mark taste-safe options for toddlers who still mouth things, use heat-treated flour where dough might get eaten, and list the fillers to skip for under 3s. You won't find water beads here; we explain why in our play safety notes.
